It seems like most days of this ridiculous year, that rain occurs a lot these days. I'm trying to stay on the sunny side, working on being optimistic about the outcome from all of the crap in our lives right now. It is very difficult when you get one problem figured out and the next day it rains again.
There is no easy solution. Life is what it is. It's not easy right? I mean easy would be boring after all. I feel so blessed that I have such an awesome husband, who despite my daily gripes I love completely and wouldn't give him away for all the change in the world. (well, maybe, how much would that be? jk!) My kids are the chocolate to my chip and make every day survivable. Here is why:
I was handed a home made ticket as I walked in the front door yesterday and told that it was for the movie after dinner in my tweens bedroom. The kids had been working all afternoon on the movie theater and all of it's greatness. The theater was even named in French as she has been trying to learn the language with some library media. The movie tickets were punch cards, i guess so we could continue to come back. The movie of the night, Surfs Up, a lovely penguin flick sure to make us all happy.
Jaxon was wearing a cape, made by his big sister. He, of course, was running around the living room and up and down the halls yelling, "I flying, I flying! Woosh!" You'd have to be made of stone to not love that.
We had dinner and watched about 1/4 of the film until Jaxon had unplugged the tv and we were apparently done. Being as it was his bedtime anyway we enjoyed a few books and down he went.
I really can't hate that. Any of that. I'd have to be stone. They really do make every day better. I can't wait to get there now.
