Lego table

Here I am!  blogging about my most recent project!  Oh and I found a blogger app for my new phone so this is gonna be awesome!!!!

This project came to me from Pinterest, my new favorite website.  I knew I hD to make once for my boy.  I found this coffee table at the local goodwill for $7 and a soon as I saw it I knew what it was for.

The hardest part was finding the Lego baseboards. I found them online for different prices but learned quickly that Duplo costs a lot more than the regular Lego base.  After I found out that they are interchangeaable with all sizes of Lego I decided to buy the cheaper small Lego plates. I found 2 at Toys R Us for $7.99 each and since we were using a christmas gift card I also got Jax a small fire cheif and vehicle to go with it:

I decided to velcro the lego bases onto the table so that I can remove them and we could interchange the activities later.

The original table I found on on Pinterest had a little white dash road around the edge so of course I needed to do this.  I've only gotten as far as painting them and haven't decided if I should seal them or paint more onto the table.

Jaxon loves his new play table as does his big sister.  Win win!
